Obituary Candle

November 27, 1977 – May 29, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vasile Dodu, lovingly known as Voss, who left this world after a courageous battle with illness. He was born on November 27, 1977, in Timișoara, Romania, and spent his life surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Voss grew up in a warm and tight-knit household with his parents, Nick and Nancy, and his younger brother George, who always looked up to him. Voss also had a beloved sister, Nicoletta, who passed away during their youth—a loss he carried with quiet strength.

To those who knew him, Voss was larger than life. As a child, he had a boundless energy and competitive spirit, especially when it came to sports. George fondly remembers their rough-and-tumble games, where Voss would often “wreck” him—but always in good fun. More than just a big brother, Voss made George feel seen, often letting him tag along with his friends—moments that meant the world to a younger sibling trying to find his place.

Voss had a passion for Nascar, racing games, and driving, often with a playful grin and a need for speed. He was also a computer genius, a whiz with technology, and an avid video game enthusiast. Whether behind a screen or the wheel, Voss was in his element—curious, skilled, and always pushing LIMITSE

But above all, Voss was a father, and his greatest pride was his three sons: Chris, Owen, and Jordan. He loved them3 fiercely and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience.

Though his journey was marked by years of illness, Voss met every challenge with a quiet bravery. His passing is a profound loss, but there is comfort in knowing that his pain has ended and that his spirit is finally at peace.

Voss will be remembered for his strength, his humour, his heart, and the deep impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Voss.
