Vernon Leo Merkoske, age 64 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 4, 2015.
Vernon was a skilled electronics technician. After retiring, he enjoyed meeting his friends at yard sales. He liked classic cars and was always reading. Vernon loved to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of his rural home with his family.
Vernon was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his family. He is survived by his mother Stella, sisters Shirley, Sharon (Gaylord) Lindal and Donna Haywood, brothers Leonard and Gary (Patricia Walker), nieces Gaylen Lindal (David Kelusky) and Donna Lindal, and nieces Christina (Eric) Bree and Carolyn (Jason) White.
Vernon was predeceased by his father Leo and nephew Paul Leo Haywood.
A private ceremony has taken place with interment in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, with thanks to Father Alan Albao of Corpus Christi Church for his service.
