On September 29, 2018, a mere 2 months after the death of her beloved husband Warren, it is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our dear mother, Nana, sister, and daughter, Vicki Richardson. The love our parents shared was like no other, and our only comfort is knowing that they are together again.

Vicki was born on October 17, 1955 in Port Arthur, ON. Vicki was the most caring woman, whose family meant everything to her. Between herself and Warren, they had 6 daughters, and 16 grandchildren. Their door was always open for anyone of us anytime we needed it. There are no words for how much they will be missed.

Christmas was the most special time for Vicki. Every year, she took great pride in decorating her home and making Christmas breakfast for her entire family. All the kids had to have their wish lists submitted to her plenty early. She was amazing at making sure each one of her children and grandchildren felt special every year.

Vicki valued the work she did. She began her career as a nurse at St. Joseph’s and LPH and later as a Rural Suburban Mail Carrier for Canada Post. Both her and Warren delivered mail together for a number of years. She built many relationships with her customers and fellow postal workers. She went above and beyond for her customers and made a point of knowing their names and doing the best job she could for them. That was just the kind of person she was.

Vicki is predeceased by the love of her life, Warren Richardson, her mom Edith Adams, father George Stewart, brother Tom Stewart, mother-in-law Ellen Nicholl, father-in-law Robert Richardson and canine Tonka Toy.

She is survived by her army of daughters: Ellie Tucci (Angelo), Angi Morrison (Walter), Gina Pileggi (John), Nadia Pileggi, Rhonda Richardson, Julia Richardson, and Kelly Higgins (Mike) and her many “grands”. Furthermore, she is survived by her father, Ron Adams (Reine), sister Debby Specht (Ken), niece and nephew Sarah and Adam Specht, father-in- law George Nicholl, sister-in-law and best friend, Heather Richardson, as well as many other extended family members, friends, and canines, Daisy and Duke.

The family would like extend our heartfelt gratitude to the first responders, the nurses and doctors at the TBRHSC Emergency and Intensive Care Units. It is because of you that we were able to say goodbye to this most special person in our lives.

Join us in celebrating Vicki’s Life on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Reception Hall at Harbourview Funeral Centre.
