It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and son Vincenzo Crupi, at the age of 59. Vince passed away peacefully with his wife, children, family and friends by his side at the TBRHSC.

Vince was born May 15, 1958 in Fort William to Michele (Mike) and Adelina Crupi. From a young age, Vince was a “fighter”; he was faced with many health challenges that he continued to fight until his final days. He persistently surprised and demonstrated true perseverance on numerous occasions. Vince married the love of his life Marina on June 28, 1985, sharing 32 years of marriage together. They were inseparable, and did everything as one. Vince had a passion for cooking, and attended culinary school at Sault College where he graduated as a red seal chef. He was later employed by the Airlane and head chef of food services at the TBRHSC.

Vince had an immense passion for traveling and would always be looking into the latest places to bring his family, an interest in which he passed on to his children. Nothing made him happier than to have his family by his side. Vince was proud of his Italian Heritage, and enjoyed being a member of the DaVinci Centre. Vince volunteered his time and worked for various events and banquets.

Vince will always be remembered for his outgoingness and great sense of humor, always trying to make people laugh or tell a joke wherever he went. He loved the company of his devoted baby dog Bella. Vince was admired and remembered by many for his kindness, friendliness, and generosity.

Vince will be lovingly remembered, and dearly missed by his beloved wife Marina, children Lance (Brittany), and Sabrina; mother Adelina; brother Don (Carla), and sister in law Elena; beloved uncle of numerous nephews and nieces, and extended family in Southern Ontario, and Italy. He will also be remembered by the special friends he made throughout his life. He was predeceased by his father Michele (Mike), and brother Frank.

In honor of Vince’s wishes visitation will be held on Thursday September 21, 2017, from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Blake Funeral Chapel, followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at the DaVinci Centre. A private interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Thunder Bay Humane Society, Northern Rescue and Paws for Love.
