Vivian Agnes Marie Donio, age 63 years of Robertson Street passed away unexpectedly in the Toronto General Hospital on Tuesday, February 3, 2015.
Vivian was born in Beardmore, Ontario in 1951 but was raised in Rocky Bay, First Nation. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, Pow Wow dancing and was extremely proud of her heritage. She was an accomplished waitress, sometimes working 3 different jobs at the same time and in her younger years worked as a Parole Officer.
Vivian will be lovingly remembered by Joseph Head as well as by her daughters Tamara Donio and Laura Lesperance, grandchildren Bronson (Nikki), Brooke and Ben (Melissa), great grandchildren Laurmara, Ivory, Kailey, Kianna and Bronwyn who was born 3 weeks premature on the same day that her great grandmother Vivian passed away, her siblings Marcel (Aandeg), Valda (Dennis), Gabriel (Teresa) and Ivan (Laura) as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Vivian was predeceased by her parents Robert and Mary, her sister Caroline and her brother Robert Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00p.m. Noon on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street officiated by Rev. Victor Pelletier. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the next day in the Rocky Bay (Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek) First Nation Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trillium Gift of Life Network.
