With deepest sorrow the family of Wanda Marjorie Eckman, nee Johnson, announces her passing on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Wanda was born on October 24, 1931 in Quebec. She was a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed volunteering at the Current River Rec. Wanda was a social butterfly and she enjoyed going to Intercity Mall to have a coffee with her friends.
Wanda is survived by her children Earl Doran (Janice), Darlene Paxton (Kirk), Ronald Doran (Michelle), Debbie Deprophetis (Ozzy); grandchildren Denise, Ryan, Ashley, Alicia, David, Brent, Jody and AJ; 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; brother Lyle and Sharon Johnson and sister-in-law Thelma Eckman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband Stanley Doran; second husband Bill Eckman; son Leslie; grandson Russell, brother Glen; sisters Doris, Verna and Helen; sisters-in-law Ethal Johnson and Rita Johnson.
As per Wanda’s wishes, there will be no service. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
