Wanda Probizanski

It is with great sorrow that the family of Wanda Katherine Probizanski, announce her sudden passing on July 13, 2021 at home. Wanda was born October 26, 1956 to Ernest and Eileen Probizanski in Thunder Bay, the fourth of five children, and the only girl.

Wanda was a spirited young woman and spent her childhood and teen years keeping up with her Current River friends and her rambunctious brothers; her mother liked to say, "she was a real tomboy." In her early adulthood, she enjoyed travelling and was employed by Scotiabank for many years. Yes, she was one of the famous bank girls.

She was a great lover of animals of all kinds, and adored her many dogs over the years, especially Toby. Wanda loved to garden and took great pride in growing both vegetables and flowers; her green thumb with vegetables coming from her father. Wanda was in her element when she was doing arts and crafts and most recently had started oil painting. Wanda was a loving caregiver to her mother right up until her passing.

Wanda is survived by her mother Eileen, her brothers Ivan (Judy), Bryan (Eleanor), her sister-in-law Charlotte, and her brother Bruce (Liz). She was predeceased by her father Ernest and her brother Dennis. Wanda was also very proud of being a remarkable aunt to her nephews and nieces and their children. Left to mourn their aunt are Michael, David (Jillian), Shelley (Jeff), Denny, Michelle (Enzo) and Leanna (Evan).

Wanda will be sorely missed. The family will be having a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, a donation to the Thunder Bay District Humane Society would be appreciated.
