Wayne Hodges

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne Hodges, age 78 years, peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2017.

Wayne was born on June 19, 1939 in Rainy River, Ontario to Gordon and Florence Hodges. He later met the love of his life, Alice Perrier. They were married for 53 years and enjoyed a wonderful life in Ignace, Ontario. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and loved his trains. One of his passions was playing his guitar. Dad had a wonderful sense of humour and his greatest love was his family.

Wayne is survived by his wife Alice; daughters Linda (Ray) and Susan (Paul); grandchildren Wayne (Jen), Kristy, Stacey, Jessica, Coadi and Arrianne as well as his great-granddaughter Ellie. He is also survived by his brother Reg (Pat); brother-in-law George and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Florence Hodges; brothers Don, Art, Larry and sister Joan.

The family would like to thank the staff of Roseview Manor for the wonderful care provided to Wayne.

A Celebration of Wayne's Life will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Westfort Prosvita, 721 West Gore Street. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Wayne to Roseview Manor would be greatly appreciated.
