It is with great sadness and sorrow that we must say goodbye to Wesley Julius Wenzoski, aged 56, on March 14, 2015.

Wesley was born on July 31, 1958 and was the beloved youngest son of Marion (Wakates) and Julius Wenzoski of Beardmore, Ontario.  He attended St. Teresa Catholic School and moved on to Geraldton Composite High School.

Throughout his short time with us, Wesley held a variety of different jobs from fighting forest fires to cooking in mining camps, gathering a vast variety of friends along his journey in life.

Wesley will be sadly missed and greatly remembered by all who knew him.  Wesley is survived by his mother Marion Wenzoski, his son Terrance, sisters Gail Robert and Elsa Shepherdson, brothers Brian Wenzoski and Lyonell Wenzoski, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was predeceased by his father Julius Wenzoski, brother-in-law Kirk Shepherdson, and great niece Natasha Marie Duhamel.  Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Parish, 126 Mission Road, Thunder Bay, Ontario on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., celebrated by Father Larry Kroker s.j.  Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3200 Oliver Road, Thunder Bay, Ontario.

There will be a Celebration of Life luncheon provided at Fort William First Nations Community Hall, 400 Anemki Drive, FWFN at 12:30 p.m.  Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be given in Wesley’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association.

Do Not Stand By My Grave and Weep
By Mary Elizabeth Frye

Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die.

“May all the love you give away
return and hug your heart today.”
                                          Love Wes.

Wesley Wenzoski will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
