William (Bill or Butch) George Fleming aged 78 passed away peacefully with his family by his side  on Wednesday, June 5th.

Born in 1945 in Edinborough Scotland by parents William and Nora, they immigrated to Canada at the age of two and settled in the O’Connor Township. Bill spent the majority of his life in the Kakabeka Area.

Bill drove truck for a living where he had many adventures with his wife, kids or his grandchildren in the passenger seat beside him. He loved his family and doted on them, especially his grand children. He never missed a family activity, be it Hockey, Baseball or dancing. You name it, he was there watching the kids score goals, hit runs or a bow at the end of a performance.

Bill loved Country music, and dancing with his wife Betty. He enjoyed camping and fishing at his family camp on Huronian Lake catching bass and spending time outdoors. He also loved Nascar and was able to take many trips in Canada and the US to watch his races.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Betty, brothers Bob Fleming (Lori), Scott and Murray Fleming, sisters Jackie Fiddler (Dave) and Lindsay Fleming. Children, Terry Lagimodiere (Darrin), Tim Fleming, Trish Van Bastelaere (Beau), Mary Ann Sutton (David), Kelly Ruggiero (Tony), Crystal Koski (Cory). He is forever loved by numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Bill is predeceased by a twin at infancy, his parents Bill and Nora, sister Joyce Fleming and daughter Theresa Ann Gallagher.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hogarth North Daffodil Unit for their generous care, compassion and support. Special thanks to Jenny T who went above and beyond to care for Bill (and Betty).

As per Bill’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at Conmee Hall, 19 Holland Drive West, Kakabeka Falls at 2 p..m.

In lien of flowers donation to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
