Will Hodwitz passed away at the age of 97 on November 5, in his home with his wife Kay by his side.  Bill was active all his life.

He worked at the Canada Car and then Cargil Grain Elevator, retiring in 1983.

At home he built truck toppers and slide-in campers; 29 of them.  He attended the Church of the Holy Cross and was active in the St. George’s Society, the Fish and Game Club, the Senior Golden Agers, and the bowling club. Bill enjoyed the outdoors.

He loved hunting and fishing, partly for the catch but more for the joy of being outside in the company of his friends.  He went on his last hunting trip when he was 88.

Bill was a good provider for his family and supported his sons Bill (Barbara), Robert and Ronald.  He was proud of his grandchildren, Omi, Rose, Andrew, and Kathryn. Bill is survived by his wife Catherine, his brother Jim, and his sister Sadie.  He had a full, productive life.  Even when he slowed down at the end, he accepted his condition with grace.  Altogether a good man, he will be remembered.

Panachyda will be on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Church of the Holy Cross and the Divine Liturgy will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in the Church of the Holy Cross, 415  West Victoria Avenue  with Rev. Yuriy Tykhyy officiating.  Services will be complete in the church with cremation to follow.  If friends desire, memorials to the charity of choice would be appreciated.

We love you and will miss you.

You will forever remain in our hearts, thoughts and memories.

William Hodwitz will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
