It is our great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving father, papa, William (Bill) Joseph Shubaly at the age of 85 after a brief illness on May 15, 2017 with his family by his side.

Bill was born September 15, 1931 in Port Arthur. In Bill’s early years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, travelling, coaching hockey and watching his sons play baseball. He married the love of his life Mary in 1954 and together they had five beautiful children. He still somehow found time to form a carpenter business – Imperial Lathing & Acoustics with his brother Tommy, where he continued to work until his retirement in 2011. Bill loved spending time at his family camp in Shebandowan Lake where he always welcomed family and friends. He was an avid fisherman, a devoted sports fan to his favourite teams New York Yankees and Montreal Canadians. He enjoyed catching up on the latest news with his “coffee Crew”.

Bill will be lovingly remembered by his son Rob (Tina) and his grandchildren Katie (Brad) Gauthier, Kerri (Bryson), Kourtni, Tanner(Jenna), Paris & Jimmy. Great grandchildren Jadyn and Avah. He is remembered and never forgotten by his loving sister Helen (Ray) Kundrat as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by the love of his life for 46 years Mary, daughters Judy and Janet, sons Richard and Ronnie, his loving parents Mildred and Nick Shubaly, sister May Milani and brothers Pat and Tommy.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street with Rev. Randy Boyd. A private interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory can be made to the Charity of your Choice.
