Mr. Zeffirino Rampazzo passed away peacefully at the T.B.R.H.S.C. on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Born on December 6, 1932 in Bazedo di Chions, Italy. He was the 4th oldest of eleven children. In 1954, Zeffirino met Rosina Toppan and the two married in 1959.

In 1960, Zeffirino and Rosina moved to Fort William where Zeffirino learned his trade as a cement finisher with “SPS” and two years later with “B & B Stone Ltd.”, where he worked for 25 years before an illness forced him to retire. He had an unwavering sense of humor about life.

Like many Italian immigrants, Zeffirino enjoyed gardening while making homemade wine, sausages and salami. Zeffirino’s strong Italian heritage was furthered as a member of “Principe di Piedmonte” at the Da Vinci Center.

Zeffirino is survived by wife Rosina, son Daniel Rampazzo, daughter in law Carolyne and two grandchildren, Victor and Vanessa. Also surviving in Italy are two sisters and one brother.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, one hour prior to Mass of Christian Burial which begins at 12:10 noon at St. Agnes Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Center would be appreciated by the family.
