Brooks Bandits, Cobourg Cougars to meet for RBC Cup, Canada's junior A title

Brooks will face the host Cobourg Cougars on Sunday for Canada's junior A hockey championship.

Nick Prkusic had a goal and an assist for the Bandits, while Tyler Carangelo scored the eventual winner 4:51 into the game. Ty Mappin and Joe O'Connor also found the back of the net.

Jeremy Belisle stopped 42 shots in net for Terrebonne.

Earlier Saturday, Theo Lewis scored the winner with 8:05 left and set up Spencer Roberts for the empty-net insurance goal to lift Cobourg over the Penticton Vees 3-1 in the other semifinal.

Daniel McKitrick had a power-play goal for the Cougars, while Stefano Durante made 27 saves for the win.

Nicholas Jones was the lone scorer for Penticton and Mathew Robson stopped 25-of-27 shots in net.
