SHERBROOKE, Que. — Police in the Quebec community of Sherbrooke are confirming the death of an eight-year-old boy who was found unconscious in a swimming pool.
He was at a children's party Saturday when the accident occurred.
Efforts to resuscitate the boy were unsuccessful.
Investigators are ruling out criminal negligence.
