IGNACE, Ont. — A man from a community about 250 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay, Ont., is facing multiple sex-related charges involving a child.
Provincial police says the 24-year-old Ignace, Ont., man was arrested Thursday night.
They say the alleged offences occurred in Ignace between Sept. 6, 2016, and June 30, 2017, and involved a person under 16 years of age.
The man is charged with two counts each of sexual assault on a person under 16 and sexual interference with a person under 16, and single counts of transmitting sexually explicit material to a person under 16 and luring a person under 16.
OPP say the accused was scheduled to appear in court in Sioux Lookout, Ont., on Friday.
