Police say 5 teens charged in armed robbery in Belleville, Ont., area

ROSSMORE, Ont. — Provincial police say five teens are to appear in court Wednesday facing charges in an armed robbery at a home in a community south of Belleville, Ont. They allege five armed people entered a home in Rossmore, Ont.

ROSSMORE, Ont. — Provincial police say five teens are to appear in court Wednesday facing charges in an armed robbery at a home in a community south of Belleville, Ont.

They allege five armed people entered a home in Rossmore, Ont., on Friday night and stole cash, electronics and clothing from the occupants.

Police say no one was seriously injured during the incident.

OPP say a suspect vehicle was stopped and five people were arrested after an officer spotted it about 65 kilometres away in Odessa. Ont.

They say weapons allegedly used in the robbery and a large quantity of marijuana were seized.

Four 19-year-olds — three men and a woman — and a 17-year-old boy, all from the South Frontenac and Kingston, Ont., areas, are charged with robbery with a weapon, use of a firearm while committing an offence, drug possession and possession of stolen property.
