MONTREAL — A man in his 80s is in critical condition after his car was struck by a Via Rail passenger train in central Quebec.
The accident occurred this morning at a railway crossing in Saint-Eugene-de-Grantham, about 100 kilometres northeast of Montreal.
Provincial police say they fear for the man's life.
Nobody on the train was injured.
It is not clear whether the lights at the crossing were working.
