CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, Ont. — Provincial police say a seven-year-old boy has died after a house fire in central Ontario.
They say emergency responders were called to the blaze in Clearview Township, Ont., at around 9 p.m. on Thursday.
They say four occupants managed to escape the home but the child was trapped inside.
Firefighters tried to rescue the boy, but were not successful.
Police say the Office of the Fire Marshall is investigating the blaze.
