This Saturday in Thunder Bay – March 15, 2025
The weekend kicks off with the Thunder Bay Country Market at 8:00 am, followed by a full day of outdoor activities, including downhill skiing at Loch Lomond and Mount Baldy Ski Area. The Goods and Co Market opens at 10:00 am, offering a great spot to browse local vendors. Ski enthusiasts can also take part in the 2-Day Ski Intensive for Experienced Adult Skiers at Loch Lomond Ski Area. At noon, the St. Urho’s Day celebration takes place at the Prince Arthur Waterfront Hotel & Suites.
History buffs can visit the Thunder Bay Museum at 1:00 pm to explore Treaty 3: Manidoo Mazina’igan, The Sacred Document and Can Car and The Rosies, followed by a Canadian Lighthouses of Lake Superior Speaker Series at 2:00 pm focusing on the History of the Shaganash Lighthouse. The evening brings plenty of entertainment, starting with the Sea Shanty Family-Friendly Show at The Foundry at 5:00 pm and the Cambrian Players' presentation of Home I'm Darling at 7:00 pm. Sports fans can catch the North Stars Hockey Home Game at Fort William Gardens at 7:30 pm, while music lovers can enjoy the Consortium Aurora Borealis Concert featuring Dazzling Italian Baroque Arias at St. Paul’s United Church.
For a lively night out, Radar and The Rockets take the stage at 8:00 pm, followed by Sea Shanty Night at The Foundry at 8:30 pm. Those looking to celebrate can head to LUISA’s Holi Bollywood Night at The Outpost at 9:00 pm, while Pintsmasher performs at The Foundry to close out the night.
