This Monday in Thunder Bay – June 30, 2025
Thunder Bay begins the week by honouring Indigenous voices and stories with two meaningful community events. At 10:00 am, the Indigenous Survivors' Day Proclamation Signing and Flag Raising takes place, recognizing and supporting the experiences of Indigenous survivors. At noon, the public is invited to gather at Hillcrest Park for the Indigenous Survivors Day Community Gathering, a time for reflection, support, and community connection.
As evening arrives, the city offers a mix of entertainment options to unwind. Baseball fans can head to Port Arthur Stadium for the Thunder Bay Border Cats Game, with first pitch at 7:35 pm. Music lovers can enjoy traditional maritime flair at Sea Shanty at The Foundry, starting at 8:30 pm. Also on tap tonight is a performance at Dawson Trail Craft Brewery featuring Brock Mattsson, Hobby, and Sara Kae, showcasing a range of local musical talent. For teens looking to meet up in a fun and relaxed setting, the North Region – Thunder Bay – Teen Board Game Social at Carlito’s Cafe provides a welcoming space to gather, play, and connect.
