My holiday hero is a person who sacrifices her everyday to help our injured wildlife. She spends every waking moment sacrificing every part of her life from time with family to even having a relationship.
She spends thousand of dollars of her own money to respond to people distress calls and respond to helping MNR with taking care of these creatures.
She has been working for the past 7 years to get her licence to open up a wildlife rehab station in Thunder Bay,so Northern Ontario has a centre. This year has been a super hard and expensive year for her as she is now the founder and operator of the Thunderbird Wildlife Centre.
Her name is Jenn Salo and I do not believe there is anyone out there in Thunder Bay this year who has opened her heart and entire life for helping others. Our wildlife is the best part of Thunder Bay. Thank god someone is helping them.
