I would like to nominate Kim Tamminem of Paws for Love dog rescue for Holiday Hero.
I would like to nominate Kim for Holiday Hero because of the outstanding work she does for her rescue and saving dogs. Kim has a huge heart for the animals, she can never say no to any dog in need. She can't leave any dog suffering. She is always taking in the dogs that are in urgent need of care, no matter how high the bills pile up.
At one point, in the beginning of her rescue, she did the majority of the work to keep the rescue running. She would find the foster homes, book all of the appointments, and still does many things for her rescue. She goes as far as to driving to remote areas to pick up dogs in need. She is truly a one-of-a-kind human being with a passion for saving dogs.
Since Paws for Love started operations in 2013, Kim and her team have saved nearly 3,000 dogs from remote northern communities and the number is still climbing. She is in connection with about 14 northern communities.
Kim doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She is a very understanding woman when it comes to the people up north. She understand that the community members want what is best for the well being of the dogs. She understands that many of them only give up their dog because they know it will be best for their pets. She is an amazing person who plays a huge role for the dogs. The prize would not go wasted with her rescue.
