The Safe Zone is a community group housed inside elementary schools.
Set-up within the school, the initiative provides peer to peer counselling with access to professionals to teach children who have fallen victim to bullying/harassment the coping skills necessary to stand up for themselves and build their self-confidence.
She also wants to find the proper help for the bullies.
In most cases, children have their own battles either inside the school or outside which creates unfortunate situations for both children and the teacher trying to educate her students.
Outside of the Safezone initiative, Taylorpedia is a webshow on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter that highlights the best kid-friendly establishments within Thunder Bay.
The show also highlights the positive initiatives in our community.
Taylor has been involved with many local charities like United Way and Camp Quality.
