Just imagine a quaint, friendly area of interesting shops and restaurants in the newly restored Victoria Village located in the heart of the historic south end of Thunder Bay.

Victoria Avenue has been through many changes in the area’s history but finally the Victoria Village has embraced its rich past with an upscale future.

Return visitors to our city can’t believe the transformation of this area and love the way they can drive the streets and stroll the walks of downtown Victoria and Syndicate Avenues once again. Many have compared the closing of these streets, the way they once were, to having the arteries of a living heart blocked, which in turn caused the heart and all vital organs around it to wither.

"Thankfully you unplugged the arteries and restored the flow of life before the heart died completely," has been heard over and over again.

Other positive comments that came from visitors, residents and investors alike were: "What an incredible boost this transformation has made to the image of Thunder Bay," and "Thank goodness the people who had the power to revitalize and restore this area of Thunder Bay, now called Victoria Village, had the imagination and foresight to have done the right thing."
The success of Victoria Village makes one very proud to be able to say, "I live in Thunder Bay."

Sure, this is just a look into the future, but I would really like to be around when this day comes to pass, as I am very certain it will happen, sooner or later.
