Monday’s going to be a very interesting evening across the country.

As Canadians head to the polls for the fourth time in seven years, there’s plenty at stake for all three major party leaders.

For Conservative Leader Stephen Harper, chasing his elusive majority, it could be a last stand.

Either Canadians trust him with full control over the reins of power, or he could very well wind up on the outside looking in.

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff is also fighting for his political life, albeit from a much more precarious – and possible third-place – position.

Jack?Layton, the perennial also-ran at the head of the NDP, is looking strong as polls indicate a strong shift his direction. This election has poured new life into the long-time leader, one that could vault him into official opposition status.

Helping him get there could be local NDP?hopefuls Bruce Hyer and John Rafferty, who most pundits see as having little trouble holding onto their seats. However, that all three leaders paid a visit to Thunder?Bay over the course of seven days late in the campaign shows just how much they all think the city’s two ridings are in play.

While it may be too little too late for the other parties in?Thunder?Bay, it won’t be a cakewalk either.
