To the editor:?
The Local Citizens Committee of the Black Spruce Forest continues to look at ways to eliminate garbage from being deposited in the forest.
The Clean Forest Environment Sub-committee, which currently organizes two clean-up effortts during the year, usually in the spring and fall, needs the help of the public to reduce and eliminate the garbage being dumped in the forest.
Now, more than ever, we require the efforts of volunteers to make this initiative successful. We encourage other groups to become involved in keeping the forest environment free of garbage.
To participate in one of our clean-up activities, or for additional information, feel free to contact Vishnu Kowlessar, management forester with the Ministry of Natural Resources, at 475-1163, or by email at [email protected].
A clean environment starts with us. Please do not litter.
