Letter: Conservatives understand economy best

This election, both the Liberals and NDP promise to spend billions on everything imaginable.
This election, both the Liberals and NDP promise to spend billions on everything imaginable.

Are they demented?  Do they imagine Canada has a surplus to blow on their whims?  Do they not understand how fragile the economy is?  Apparently not, they never have.

Government does not and can not create jobs. Every penny government taxes and spends hurts economic growth.  Taxes hurt corporations, the real job creators.  Taxes hurt investors (pension plans), struggling families, and cripple investment.

More reckless spending now could put Canada in the same mess the U.S. is in, that’s how they got there.

Do the Liberals and NDP really want to create more bureaucracy?  As always, there is only one political party in Canada that understands economics, the Conservatives.
