To the editor:
I was in attendance Monday night at the city hall tamarack tree vigil.
It was encouraging to see young Thunder Bay residents stand up for what they believe in, and defend their future.
I would like to add that, beyond the fact that the concept of these trees as a nuisance is a matter of poor judgement, cutting them down and replanting different trees is a waste of taxpayer money.
It is a foolish make-work project. That is something that even grumpy, hard-nosed critics of this young woman's protest should be able to recognize.
