To the editor:
I was wondering what the heck council was doing going ahead with the plan to cut down the 11 tamarack trees in question, then a light came on!
I know exactly the reason for their strange behavior. The complainant pursued this cause for years, finally got the city's approval, then suddenly he withdraws his request, yet council decides to go ahead anyway.
Something stinks and I believe that in order to take the heat off the complainant certain councilors told him to withdraw his request and they would still vote to cut down the trees. I'm the farthest thing from a conspiracy theorist but this one just jumped right out at me. Tell me I'm wrong here.
