LETTER: FWHP observatory competing against local business

To the editor: What is the justification for the province of Ontario for funding an observatory at Fort William Historical Park? The Thunder Bay Observatory has been operating for years by a family in the rural area for years.

What is the justification for the province of Ontario for funding an observatory at Fort William Historical Park?

The Thunder Bay Observatory has been operating for years by a family in the rural area for years. Their website has over 2 million hits. Why should tax payers being paying for something that a family business has invested in? It's a total misuse of provincial money. Let's support local entrpreneurs and the little local economy.
