LETTER: Hearing taking too long

To the editor: What a joke. Why is it taking so long for Sgt. Jim Mauro's case to be heard and done with? As a taxpayer I am very concerned as to why we are paying this officer his salary for two years while we wait for his day in court.

What a joke. Why is it taking so long for Sgt. Jim Mauro's case to be heard and done with? As a taxpayer I am very concerned as to why we are paying this officer his salary for two years while we wait for his day in court. Now if this was a regular Joe I am sure this would already be taken care of.

Besides how many times does a person get to be on suspension?
