To the editor:
The new arena sounds great but the location is ridiculous.
I am not the first person to say this.
I don't understand why they wouldn't build it in Innova Park where there is more room to expand and there is actually parking available.
The downtown core is going to be so jam packed it will be unbearable. In my opinion people will be turned off of going to the event centre because of the no parking.
People especially in the winter don't want to walk five blocks in the blistering cold.
There is barely enough parking for the local pubs, shopping, restaurants and casino as it is.
Innova park is conveniently located right off the expressway as well which would ensure less jamming of traffic on water street.
