To the editor:
On behalf of what I just saw on Thunder Bay Television news, ,regarding the House of Commons and the conversation that was spoken about the mining issues and the Ring of Fire.
This is no laughing matter when it comes to our Native land. I will stand beside my community and other surrounding communities,
Why are these people in the House of Commons laughing like its a big joke. Come on, get real. As Native people, we have lived here for millions of years; most of us still live off our land. We treasure our heritage, our traditional lifestyles and so on. I'm sure if this issue is gonna arise it will.
I'm sure the other communities, like Marten Ffalls,Webequie, Neskantaga and Fort Hope will reunite together too protect our Native land for the sake of their people. Just ait and see what happens, i guess, but I know for sure my Native leaders sure will not allow this to happen.
