to the editor:
Why do children not get sent home when they are infested with lice?
It is a growing concern now for teachers, early childhood educators, SSPs, staff and the families they live with.
My daughter just got a job with the Catholic School Board excited to start her new career. Now not so much.
Everyday I have to check her hair for nits and lice.
When my kids went to school children were sent home and not allowed back until the problem was addressed and dealt with.
Why has it changed? Now two of the staff have it and probably their family they go home to. It makes no sense.
It is an epidemic in the school and nothing is being done about it. How can this not be a health issue? Some kids have it year round. This is unacceptable in my eyes and some action needs to be taken.
