Making a good idea a better idea.

The polarization of ideas sometimes creates a wall to accpeting similar ideas with improvements.   This is not to say that one idea is a bad idea and another is a good idea, but that an idea can be made better relative to another.

According to news report their will be built t"The two light beacons will be installed at Piers 1 and 3. The two 21-metre structures resemble slightly bent poles sticking out of the tips of both piers toward each other.

The beacons, made out of corten steel, will feature LED lights that will flash Morse code of local stories and poetry."

Now this may be a good idea, perhaps some might say it is a great idea, very creative, however a better idea would have been building a simple Light House, like the one that was situated on the Welcome Islands, and operated by Mr. MaClean and family for many, many  years.

History, and a lighthouse, would serve as a bridge from the past to our present and our future.   , would have been a better idea for the waterfront development project.  How about we seriously consider exchangint the two LED lights for one Light House ?
