Letter: Mayor, council putting action plan in place

I am writing in response to the guest opinion article by J.R. Shermack, Light on Details and Action Plan published on Wednesday, Feb. 16.

I am writing in response to the guest opinion article by J.R. Shermack, Light on Details and Action Plan published on Wednesday, Feb. 16.

As Mayor, I am working very closely with city council, the city manager and the administrative team to start setting priorities for the city’s new strategic plan that will take us to 2014.

We are off to a good start. Later this month, we will be asking citizens for their thoughts on services and priorities through the 2011 Citizen Survey.

We’re committed to delivering the plan by the end of May. That is where you will see the action plan to move Thunder Bay forward.
