To the editor:
My husband and I have spent several winters in the Rio Grande Valley area of Texas during the winter.
I have contacted friends in the area about this missing couple. No news yet. Last year we traveled west from Mission, Texas to Tucson Arizona, staying very close to the border with Mexico as we are avid birders.
Has anyone contacted Border Patrol? There are several border stops along that way and I am sure the license would be recorded at each stop. Als,o a friend made me also wonder if anyone has tried to track them by credit cards?
Family with police should be able to access that information if they remain missing.
I know many areas along those highways will not have internet access, but in Texas this couple should have been able to get wifi at travel information stops in Laredo area or El Paso. Keep them and their family in prayer. I would also consider checking individual Texas state parks, like Falcon Lake State Park and others along that route must be contacted individually because each is a separate entity.
