To the editor:
With the number of cyclists using the highways I cannot understand why the shoulders are not paved wider. When driving along the new portion of Highway 11/17, I noticed that the shoulders were still about one foot wide.
Do we as taxpayers save that much money that Ontario can’t pave a three foot shoulder? On Highway 69 from Sudbury south some paved shoulders are wide enough for vehicle traffic. Not so in the North.
