To the editor:
I say kudos to you for not promoting the said racist pages by naming them publicity.
It's so unfortunate that this occurs today for our first nations people. To publicly promote your views is very unhealthy to do in any community. Once it's out there other racists will jump on the page and spread their views to the world. Racism towards anyone is never good. Perhaps something will happen if there are findings in the police investigation.
Some recommendations may come forth from it. There's no doubt this has been going on since immigration by settlers, who were helped by our First Nations people to survive here.
Eventually more came then they took our lands and resources with crooked governing systems. But history is not nice to our people as there is not much in the books by writers of bygone years.
We need to implement healthy interactions, history, an events for people to become involved and learn more about our people. Perhaps through this way mindsets can change to a more welcomed opinion for sure. I wish this community much strength for change towards positive actions.
Now.
