To the editor:
I read your story about the girls who had a hard time at the Bahia Principe San Juan in the Dominican Republic.
I have gone to this resort every year now for 14 years. I have spoken with friends down there who work on the resort, no one has heard anything of this.
I also know that the security does not carry guns on the resort, not that are seen anyway.
We are due to go back down there in three weeks so we are trying to find out what we can, if someone was shooting or trying to rape someone then I want to know that they have been removed from the resort and are awaiting trail in a jail, you can't paint the whole resort on a couple losers though.
Everyone down there involved has come forward and with there names, while these girls want to remain hidden in the bac ground. I would think they would want to come out and get on TV and let all the young girls know what can and no doubt does happen.
I have read more than 60 postings on this, and everyone feels much the same, there is more to it. One person said he was in a unit across from them and they were loud and partying all hours and stuff was being thrown around in the room from their friends from Thunder Bay. He also said they broke the window and knew they would have to pay for it, so like any good ole girl will do they put the story together. We will soon know, the resort is releasing video from the cameras to CNN on Thursday showing the area in question.
