To the editor:
I have read your story about the Bahia Principe San Juan resort in the Dominican Republic and realized this was the same resort I stayed at two years ago with a group of friends. I am not surprised whatsoever.
We also complained to the travel agency as well as Air Canada Vacations, yet they are still promoting this awful place. I could not wait to get home and feel safe. There are prostitutes on the property, the workers are scam artists, telling us they need money. Money was stolen from us when we scheduled a group photo. Vendors came to the resort telling us they could get us good deals on goods to take home and when we went to their huts they would tell us not to betray them.
People were having sexual intercourse in the pool. The bar staff knew, they saw it and did nothing, They would serve men before the women. I was not a nice place to be, and I would never go there again. A lot more happened but this is just a sample.
