To the editor:
My hometown is Schreiber and earlier this year Schreiber lost one of its finest citizens, Nola Fummerton. Because of our mutual love of music, Nola and I became singing partners in high school in the late 1960s.
She was a considerate, generous and talented person and she overcame serious obstacles in her life. Though her employment took her away from Schreiber during the last 20 years of her life, she and her husband Ken returned to the community every summer.
She loved her hometown and the cross-section of people who attended her memorial service loved her.
I will miss my good friend. No reunion will be complete without her.
