To the editor:

How can someone be found guilty of manslaughter (which is actually murder, just pleaded down) and then be given a two-for-one credit for time served? So instead of serving 10 years for killing someone he will actually serve two years and 10 months This is a complete farce and a slap in the face to the victim, to their family and to our community.

If it takes too long to get someone through the criminal court process then fix it. Time should be time. How on Earth do you get a two-for -one deal.? It's pretty sad when we equate our criminal-justice system to ordering pizza. Otherwise be honest enough to call a spade a spade. Two years and 10 months for murder. If you'rr guilty, you should be serving the full sentence

That's just my opinion.
