LETTER: Stop paving our trails

To the editor: Every day I hike all of the trails in Centennial Park and the ones north of the highway (blue, red and yellow) up to the Cascades. I also have been hiking to the Bluffs and on to Boulevard in the past.

To the editor:

Every day I hike all of the trails in Centennial Park and the ones north of the highway (blue, red and yellow) up to the Cascades.
I also have been hiking to the Bluffs and on to Boulevard in the past.

This past year a paved trail was built from the chalet at Centennial to the lower bluffs.

I have spoken to many hikers along that new pavement and most have stopped using it, myself included, it’s not a walk in the woods any more, it's a stroll down a highway.
Please, please don’t pave any more trails anywhere.
