LETTER: Stop the bailouts

To the editor: I’m writing this letter to you to express my dissatisfaction with the provincial government. I think it is very disgusting how Buchanan Forest Products held the provincial government hostage in Terrace Bay.

To the editor:

I’m writing this letter to you to express my dissatisfaction with the provincial government.

I think it is very disgusting how Buchanan Forest Products held the provincial government hostage in Terrace Bay.

Twenty-four million dollars, which the province forgave the company, is just a drop in the bucket, when you factor all the unpaid stumpage fees.

The company also had the nerve to get the mayors of the northern communities where he has saw mills to beg the provincial government for consideration in wood rights.

I feel bad for these communities, but does the provincial government and the taxpayers of this province need to fund Buchanan’s ventures again? There is a old saying fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.
