To the editor:
I would like to commend the Heart of the Harbour BIA for taking the initiative to hire their own summer staff to beautify the downtown shopping area.
Over the past few weeks, I have witnessed this individual picking up garbage, weeding the sidewalks and doorways of local businesses, scraping posters off street lights, offering friendly greetings to passers-by and more.
What a difference! If you have not recently visited the Heart of the Harbour, I encourage you to do so.
It is looking better everyday and several new businesses have opened in the area. There is definitely a renewed sense of energy and activity in the neighbourhood.
Congratulations to the Heart of the Harbour BIA for making Thunder Bay a more attractive place to live, work and play. Great stuff!
