Letter: Time for action

To the editor:

I am writing in response to three articles in last week’s Source, which include the editorial “Workers have rights.”

I agree 100 per cent to the editorial but would suggest we take it one step further.

No one doubts that Ken Buchanan has more than enough money to pay his workers, who are the ones that generated the wealth he is so reluctant to share. And why should he be free from paying his fair share for public services, city taxes and WSIB. It’s time for government action.
He and his front companies should be denied access to our forests until he pays his fair share - otherwise we are in for more of the same.

No more government grants for poor Kenny. And to think both our federal and provincial governments want us to subsidize their tax cuts to corporations.

Does anyone think a tax cut for Buchanan will benefit our community?

We have two elections coming up.  Let’s hear from our local candidates if they support more cash to the big boys or that real corporate responsibility needs to be the order of the day.

We need to build sustainable economies in the Great Northwest, not maximum profit for a few at the expense of the many.
