Letter to the Editor
The stone wall in question, is suffering from a lack of regular maintenance, as is much of Thunder Bay's infrastructure, roads, sidewalks, boulevards and the like.
Have we considered that the same 2.5 million could possibly employ two people, ( *stone workers, @$50,000 for summer employment workers for 1/2 year each year) for the next 35, given a 2% annuity return on the original investment, and a 1% rate of inflation.
Perhaps we should be looking to hiring our own stone workers to bring back some life to the many historic walls in town that have somehow been forgotten.
