Letter to the Editor: In response to NIMBY protestors fight garden

Mr. J. R. Shermack should review the warning from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) about rats before he writes about ‘NIMBY protestors fight garden; The Source, May 18”.
Community Garden
Volunteers on Thursday, May 11, 2017 start work on an urban garden in an empty field at Victoria Park (Leith Dunick, tbnewswatch.com).

To the editor:

Columnist J. R. Shermack should review the warning from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit about rats before he writes about ‘NIMBY protestors fight garden" in the May 18 edition of Thunder Bay Source.

Maybe the anti-vegetable lobby is more of an anti-rat lobby.

Who in their right mind would put in an urban farm in a rat hot spot when the Health Unit advises against even a vegetable garden.

Here is a copy of the Facebook from the TBDHU.

Maybe Mr.Shermack would like to have a rat to go along with those carrots for a meal.
